RTLS: Real-Time Location Tracking for Assets & Personnel
Overview
A Real-Time Location System answers a question passive RFID can't: exactly where is this asset or person right now, to an accuracy of 30 cm to a few meters, updated every second.
We deploy UWB or Bluetooth AoA anchors at fixed points across a facility, paired with tags on mobile assets or worn by staff. For sub-meter accuracy needs — tracking trolleys, high-value medical units, or heavy equipment on a production floor — we recommend UWB. For wider area coverage with 1-3 m accuracy tolerance, Bluetooth AoA brings the per-point deployment cost down.
GTA middleware turns raw coordinates into occupancy heat maps, movement history, and geofence alerts — useful for both worker safety and facility layout optimization.
